COMMITTEES – WORK GROUPS – TASK FORCES – COUNCILS
Board of Directors – Comprised of 45 voting and ex-officio members. The Board oversees general governance, strategy, and provides input on policy, programming, and feedback to the Executive Director. Requires nomination.
Executive Committee – The Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasure serve on this committee along with 8 elected board members. This committee provides operational support and guidance working in concert with the Executive Director. Meets monthly and additionally as needed. Requires nomination and active seat on Board of Directors.
Membership & Nominating Committee – Receives and evaluates requests for membership and for service on the Board and Executive Committee, and other opportunities as needed. Meets two to three times a year as needed. Proposes memberships and nominations to board for service. Approved by board.
Annual Awards of Excellence Selection Committee – Meets annually in January to select recipients of the Awards of Excellence given at DLP’s Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon and provides input for event content and speakers. Comprised of DLP Chair, sponsors, and other DLP members. Open to all members.
Developers Council – Focuses on topics and issues related to both residential and commercial real estate development in downtown. Participating members includeproperty owners, developers, builders, financial professionals, and both commercial and residential realtors. Meets two to three times per year with agenda focused on current issues presented by members. To participate please email our Executive Director.
Engagement & Outreach Committee – Are you passionate about connecting members together to make great things happen? This group works with DLP staff to create high-touch networking opportunities for our members and sponsors further adding value to the DLP membership experience. Meets three to four times per year with DLP staff. Open to all members.
Thursday Night Live – This event task force meets three to four times per year. Members join DLP’s Director of Sponsorship & Events to brainstorm how to make our most visible event even better year after year! Perfect opportunity for marketing, events, and development professionals. Open to all members.
State of Downtown – This event task force meets three to four times per year working with DLP to create an evening program delivering high quality networking, and important information about our downtown’s progress, hurdles, and hopes. Open to all members.
